I wouldn't necessarily say that this was a bad match per se. But for what it was, it was a much slower match than usual. Neither Kofi Kingston nor Randy Orton is in his 20s and this showed during the course of the WWE Championship match at Clash of Champions 2019.
Randy Orton wrestles at a very slow and methodical pace and he controlled the proceedings for most of the contest. Kofi Kingston is a great worker but even he is not exactly Ricky Steamboat in the ring, and so the match was fine at best. Something was missing and the crowd pretty much felt it too.
This match killed the crowd and by the end of the night, they seemed a lot more exhausted than they should have been. It's just that this wasn't the best match that the two men have had.
