A lot of times when pro wrestlers deliver their lines, it does not connect with the audience. This is because while they can memorize and read out lines, the fire and delivery needed to really touch and connect with the crowd are often missing. Tommy Dreamer's promo delivered backstage to Tessa Blanchard was a masterclass in what a good promo should be like.
I wasn't even enthused about the main event match when it was announced. I wasn't sold on the match once I saw it. But honestly, Dreamer's promo pretty much convinced me that this was a match to watch, and I hope that the younger talent learns from the living legend.
I don't really know how much I like the Dreamer and Tessa pairing but at the same time, if this was just a team put together to make this week's show happen, I can dig it.
