I've mentioned the Ultimate X match and just how cool it was at the start of this article. Now, let me point out the one thing that I did not like about the match in this section.
I personally thought that Impact Wrestling had a chance to create a brand new superstar who could go on to challenge Rich Swann and make the X-Division exciting again. But they had Johnny Impact win the match and it just felt quite underwhelming.

Someone like Jake Crist could have really benefitted from such an opportunity because he's such an underrated talent who never gets his due. But I'm guessing that Impact Wrestling only sees his ceiling as a tag team superstar and little more.
Ace Austin could also have benefitted from a win although some may feel it's far too soon for him.
