The Monday Night Raw after No Mercy had a lot of explaining to do. There were several high points and some which left us feeling sorry for people.
As WWE evolves not everybody can be highlighted to be the highest extent. However, it would be nice if some people got honest shots.
This week's episode of Raw included some laugh out loud moments, some were cringe-worthy, and others were just plain entertaining. Whether you loved it or hated it, there's something for everyone in this list.
So let's take a look at some of the best and worst moments from September 25th's edition of Monday Night Raw.
Will John Cena beat Ric Flair's record? A former WCW Champion thinks so HERE
1) Best - Roman Reigns was awesome on MizTV/WWE teases Shield reunion
Roman Reigns came out with a new personality on Raw. He seemed to take to his new role as a relaxed babyface on MizTV and really owned the segment.
He said things like "let's run it" when saying he wanted to fight The Miz and Reigns seemed to have a great comeback to everything The A-Lister said. True, the Big Dog was most likely reciting verbiage he had been given but it was still delivered with a great casual skill.
Reigns asked Dallas and Axel what they were even doing there and told them to "get me a beer." That kind of personality is what Roman Reigns has been needing to show for a while now.
It looks like sprinkling a little John Cena dust on Reigns at No Mercy might have done the trick. After watching Roman Reigns take four AA's during a twenty-two-minute encounter in the Staples Center, the Los Angeles crowd seemed to be getting even more behind him.
They teased a reunion of The Shield to face The Miztourage and things looked very hopeful. But Reigns said he has his sights on Brock Lesnar right now. But of course, he'd be willing to take on The Miz anytime.
Miz TV ended with The Miz, Bo Dallas, and Curtis Axel leaving after Reigns wanted to fight the IC Champ. But Kurt Angle would stop them dead in their tracks to book a match between The Miz and Roman Reigns for later in the show.
1) Worst - Curt Hawkins History Machine
Curt Hawkins is actually turning losing into his gimmick. With 118 losses under his belt, he needs to do something. Hawkins might be trying his best to turn his losing streak into a chicken salad but it didn't turn out well for him this week on Raw.
When he offered to accept a challenge he had no idea Braun Strowman would come out. Curt Hawkins sprinted into the crowd but Braun caught up with him.
The Monster Among Men destroyed a table with the force of a chokeslam on Hawkins but he wasn't finished with him yet.
Braun Strowman then dragged Curt Hawkins up to the entrance and hit a running powerslam on Hawkins that destroyed the staging area.
There have to be easier ways for Curt Hawkins to make a name for himself. The worst part is an actual match never happened so he didn't even get to add to his losing streak.
2) Best - Braun Strowman
Few WWE Superstars have been able to do what Braun Strowman has in such a short time. The Monster Among Men might have started his career as a Rosebud and member of the Wyatt Family but since he landed on Raw and was on his own some great things have happened for him.
The WWE Universe has rallied around him and they were more than excited to see him accept Curt Hawkins' challenge. After initially running away, Braun caught up with Hawkins and sent him through a table on the arena floor.
But Braun Strowman wasn't finished with Curt Hawkins yet so he hit a running powerslam on the entrance ramp that destroyed part of the set in the process.
After all of that, he returned to the ring and said he's not leaving until he gets some real competition. Dean Ambrose answered the call because as Booker T put it, "He has nothing to do tonight guys."
Dean hit Strowman with everything he had but in the end, The Monster Among men won with a running powerslam after catching Ambrose during his top rope elbow drop.
2) Worst - Goldust
Fresh off a victory against Bray Wyatt at No Mercy, Balor appeared in a backstage interview segment. He spoke about defeating Bray Wyatt and really put the Eater Of Worlds over for bringing out the best in him.
Balor said he defeated Bray Wyatt for Goldust and everyone else he's tormented along the way. Then Finn Balor said he was going to set his sights on the goal of being the Universal Champion once more.
It all seemed well and good until Goldust found Balor backstage later in the night. Goldust said he didn't need saving and then jumped Balor. He beat him around the backstage area and left Finn Balor laying in a heap on the floor.
Goldust quotes the Godfather and walked off leaving Finn Balor with another obstacle to overcome if he wants a crack at Brock Lesnar. For some reason, Goldust took offence to Balor's comments and it set up a match later on in the night.
Goldy would lose the match later on in the night and see it simply used as more fodder for Finn Balor's feud with Bray Wyatt to continue.
But it is still pretty cool to see the old Bizarre One back to his old tricks.
3) Best - Neville and the 205 Live Roster
Enzo Amore picked up the Cruiserweight Championship at No Mercy thanks to a low blow to Neville. During Enzo's championship celebration at the end of the night, we witnessed a coming together against Enzo Amore.
No matter whether the members of the 205 Live roster had previously had rivalries they put it all to the side in order to stand together against Enzo. They banded as one unit to show their ultimate displeasure of their new champion.
Then Neville came out and hit a scathing promo on Enzo. Neville got in the ring and apparently forfeited his chances for any future Cruiserweight Title opportunities.
Enzo tried to retreat but the entire 205 Live roster stood in his way. It really was a powerful showing against Enzo's existence.
But it was worth it for Neville as he beat Enzo around the ring and destroyed him with a Red Arrow. Neville might have lost any future Cruiserweight Title chances but it was totally worth it.
4) Worst - Enzo Amore is even more annoying as a champion
The new WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore was in rare form this week. He demanded a championship celebration and Kurt Angle granted it to him.
Enzo approached Kurt Angle later on and said he's catching serious jealous vibes. He said he's been running around like a headless luchador which was a nice touch just before they aired a promo for Hispanic Heritage Month.
Amore got Kurt Angle to sign a no-contact clause for him which means nobody can lay a finger on him. If they did then they would forfeit any future chances at Enzo's Cruiserweight Title.
During Enzo's championship celebration which concluded the show, it did not turn out the way he wanted it to. The 205 Live roster filled the stage and Enzo started picking at them until Neville came out.
Neville destroyed Enzo on the microphone and got in the ring. Enzo reminded him that he can't lay a finger on him so Nevill kicked him in the stomach. What happened next was a severe beatdown on Enzo Amore at the hands of Neville.
The Red Arrow never looked better when Neville came crashing down on Enzo to end the segment and cap off the night.
4) Best - Mickie James still has it
When Alexa Bliss came down to run her mouth about her recent victory at No Mercy she had no idea what would happen next. Little Miss Bliss berated fans with outstanding insults while pulling out instances from real life.
"You are all so fascinated with the idea of what might happen tomorrow, you don't even appreciate the fact that you are in the presence of a goddess right now!" Alexa Bliss yelled at the crowd. Her promo was fire but it would heat up even more when Mickie James joined her in the ring.
James brought up the fact she didn't need Bliss to list her accolades but did so anyway. While Bliss was mocking toward James, the veteran performer came back with a response even more cutting and serious.
Mickie James dared Alexa Bliss to say to her face what Bliss said on Raw Talk the previous night. When Bliss finally called Mickie James an "old lady," Mickie slapped her across the face.
After a Mick Kick to Bliss's head, the Raw Women's Champion scurried out the ring and walked up the ramp to try again another day. It looks like Mickie James is challenging Alexa Bliss for the title and she started off looking very strong in the process.
4) Worst Emma
WWE's first-ever female Australian Superstar just can't seem to get it together. She was a standout star in NXT and had a lot of potential.
The fans used to dig her awkward charm and bubble popping entrances. But she soon found that gimmick was getting stale so WWE switched it up for her.
The Emmalution evolved into a heel who really hasn't clicked either. She took a loss in a women's tag match while teaming with Nia Jax this week on Raw. It seemed the only time the babyface team of Sasha Banks and Bayley could get an advantage was if Emma was in the match.
She's putting a lot of people over and if that's her destiny then good for her. But we can't help but wonder if Emma is growing even more frustrated by her position on the roster with every passing week.
