Chris Jericho is one of the hottest commodities in WWE right now. At the same time, he’s part of another world, that of rock n’ roll. His band Fozzy goes on tour in May, and there's a great possibility that he was attacked so that he can take time off and prepare for some musical adventures with his band.
While this is not a confirmed fact yet, we don’t expect to see him on television, at least for a while now. This is a shame because Jericho was just getting into his groove as a babyface.
