During their pairing with Roman Reigns, The Usos lost whatever momentum they had. They needed a shift in character, and by (kayfabe) taking out the most popular babyface tag team on SmackDown Live ie. American Alpha, they achieved just that.
It’s almost certain they’ll qualify to face Heath Slater and Rhyno at Backlash in the finals (because WWE booking is predictable), and that makes the match all the more interesting. This was overdue and is very welcome.
