With all due respect to Rey Mysterio, the US Title had become an afterthought back when he held the championship. But now the situation is like it should have always been, with many people gunning for the Championship.
Look at it logically! Why shouldn't there be just as many people wanting to be US Champion as the sheer number of people that want to be 24/7 Champion?
I especially like the fact that Cesaro and Ricochet are finally in the Championship picture after putting on the extraordinary series of matches where they recently faced one another. The US Championship picture finally seems competitive and one can only hope that this leads to the title becoming prestigious again.
Someone like Samoa Joe who works every single segment with so much passion deserves a feud which has intensity, fury and stakes, because he's just that good.
