Things were heated on the latest episode of WWE RAW between Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, and The Judgment Day. Finn Balor called out Priest and laid out a challenge for a match at Bad Blood 2024 to end things once and for all. A fight escalated between the two before all Judgment Day members ran out to attack The Archer of Infamy. Rhea Ripley came out with a crutch and was attacked by Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio. Later, Jey Uso ran out to save the duo, further strengthening their alliance.

Since this was RAW's premiere and it was hosted in Calgary, Canada, WWE veteran Bret "The Hitman" Hart made a special appearance. He was interrupted by World Heavyweight Champion Gunther, who wasted no time in referencing Hart's dispute with Goldberg as he smirked. Sami Zayn ran out to prevent any sort of disaster and challenged The Ring General for a title opportunity, to which the Austrian star refused.

Let's take a look at the best and worst from the latest edition of WWE RAW.

Best: The Wyatt Sicks defeat American Made in a Street Fight match to kick off WWE RAW

WWE RAW kicked off with mayhem as The Wyatt Sicks competed against American Made in a Street Fight match and the first hour of the show was commercial-free.

The two groups have been at loggerheads ever since The Wyatt Sicks put a target on Chad Gable's back for disrespecting and fighting with the Alpha Academy. This led to Gable forming another faction with the Creed Brothers followed by Ivy Nile joining them shortly after.

Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, and Nikki Cross competed in the match while a proud Uncle Howdy watched the destruction. During the match, a hyped Nikki Cross hit Chad Gable with his move, a German Suplex, leaving him perplexed.

Bo Dallas (Uncle Howdy) later got involved in the match as his fellow members wreaked havoc and went on to win the match. The foundation of their feud rested heavily on the family and the wrongs done by Gable. It remains to be seen how WWE takes their journey further after The Wyatt Sicks' recent wins.

Worst: WWE Women's Tag Team Championship defense

Last week, Damage CTRL and The Unholy Union clashed in the number-one contender's match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship. The botched ending saw fans call it an uncounted win and a few expected a rematch this week.

On WWE RAW, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair defended their titles against Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. The two women have worked hard in strengthening their tag team but seem to miss much accreditation from the WWE Universe.

They met Damage CTRL backstage who cited their quest for revenge and determination to become the next Women's Tag Team Champions. The shortage of women's tag teams that can challenge Cargill and Belair seems to contribute to their variation of opponents.

Best: Second time's a charm? Jey Uso becomes the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship

Jey Uso competed in a Fatal Four-Way Match in the main event of WWE RAW. He defeated Ilja Dragunov, Pete Dunne, and Braun Strowman to become the number-one contender for Bron Breakker's Intercontinental Championship.

This is not the first time that The Yeet Master has been in pursuit of the title. Earlier this year, he was determined to win the title from Gunther. Shortly after, it seemed WWE had other plans, such as uniting him with Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley against The Judgment Day. This led to the speculated possibility of him teaming up with Priest and going after the World Tag Team Championship (which Uso is notably known for) again.

Jey Uso left The Bloodline last year to make a name for himself in the singles division and move away from Roman Reigns' shadow. Another shot at the Intercontinental Championship could elevate things for the 39-year-old star on WWE RAW.
