The latest episode of WWE RAW concluded with new World Tag Team Champions being crowned. Liv Morgan continued her quest to create chaos in The Judgment Day and Dominik Mysterio's affairs. Morgan not only helped Finn Balor and JD McDonagh get a World Tag Team Championship match against The Miz and R-Truth but also helped them win.
Gunther made a surprise return, putting Seth Rollins and Damian Priest on notice ahead of their Money in the Bank clash. Drew McIntyre, who quit the Stamford-based company on RAW last week, kicked off the show and later approached General Manager Adam Pearce highlighting that he did not quit. The Scottish Warrior made it personal with CM Punk by calling out his wife, AJ Lee, and his beloved dog, Larry.
With an intense edition of WWE RAW, let's take a look at the best and worst of the show.
Worst: Chad Gable's miraculous return from beyond the grave came without an explanation
The Wyatt Sicks attacked Chad Gable last week on RAW and seemingly "put an end" to the WWE Superstar. Many people in the wrestling world discussed The Wyatt Sicks putting an end to Gable's life for no longer saying "Thank You!"
He was set to be a part of a Triple Threat Money in the Bank qualifying match with Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed which led to speculation of a potential replacement following last week's events. However, Chad competed and won the match on RAW tonight.
Gable did address the situation but it did not align with the story of being betrayed. However, following the match, Nikki Cross showed up from underneath the ring, spooking Gable. He approached Otis, Akira Tozawa, and Maxxine Dupri backstage but they disapproved of his previous antics leaving him high and dry. This was brief as he seemingly found another alliance in the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile, who extended their support to a terrified Chad Gable.
Best: Stakes raised for Seth Rollins vs. Damian Priest at Money in the Bank 2024
Seth Rollins returned to RAW last week for the first time since WrestleMania XL. He confronted Damian Priest, who immediately challenged him to a title match at Money in the Bank 2024.
On the latest edition of the red brand, The Visionary interrupted The Punisher. In a verbal battle of who was the greater talent, Rollins raised the stakes to highlight the importance of the title. Rollins cited that if he lost, he would no longer get a world title shot as long as Damian Priest held the belt. On the other hand, if the champion lost, he would no longer be a part of The Judgment Day.
It is important to note Damian Priest's role in the fearsome faction given how he and Rhea Ripley were the founding members alongside Edge, now known as Adam Copeland, back in 2022. Additionally, Seth Rollins was the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion when it was brought back last year.
Worst: Poor booking of the WWE women's tag team division
Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn became the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions at the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event earlier this month.
On the latest edition of WWE RAW, the duo faced Kayden Carter and Katana Chance in a tag team action. While the champions were celebrating their victory, Damage CTRL pounced on them in a vicious attack led by IYO SKY. The Genius of the Sky has been frustrated in recent weeks citing how Damage CTRL needs to change, leaving teammates Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane perplexed.
The Unholy Union's win at the Clash at the Castle 2024 Premium Live Event seemed forced due to their geographical superiority. Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark were strong contenders for the titles and were nowhere in sight of completing their quest to become the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.
Best: Uncle Howdy confronts Bo Dallas on WWE RAW about Bray Wyatt's passing
Last week, WWE RAW concluded with Uncle Howdy making his return with a few new friends. Howdy made his first appearance in 2022 when Bray Wyatt returned at Extreme Rules.
The character portrayed by Bo Dallas was Bray Wyatt's creation. On the latest edition of RAW, in a first-ever public address on live television, Uncle Howdy sat across Bo Dallas, questioning his current run, the impact of his brother's passing, and how he planned to carry forward his legacy. This was the first time Uncle Howdy talked about Bray Wyatt's untimely passing in August of last year.
