This week on WWE SmackDown, Bayley and Nia Jax had a war of words backstage and did not hold back. The current Women's Champion reflected on an incident before SummerSlam 2017, which forced Nia Jax to take her spot.
Andrade and Carmelo Hayes squared off in a singles match to determine who was the better WWE star. It was refreshing to see Andrade gaining traction on the blue brand, especially after his abysmal booking in the year's first half.
Let's dive into the best and worst highlights from the latest edition of WWE SmackDown:
Best: Solo Sikoa leads The Bloodline to another dominating week on SmackDown
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
Solo Sikoa laid down another warning on SmackDown this week. The 31-year-old will face Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam next month. Their feud dates back to when Roman Reigns was leading the notorious faction.
On the show's latest episode, Cody Rhodes wanted to face the menacing team of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. He eventually found a mystery tag team partner (who many initially speculated to be Randy Orton) to help him take down the duo.
Kevin Owens, a man all too familiar with Theory and Waller's antics, was revealed to be his partner. After the main event concluded with the Undisputed WWE Champion and KO celebrating victory, Solo Sikoa walked out with Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga. Within minutes a brawl ensued with Jacob Fatu appearing out of nowhere and annihilating the WWE stars.
It takes a while to think of Solo Sikoa as the 'Tribal Chief,' considering his predecessor. His recent actions have indicated that his threats are not to be taken lightly.
Before the show, it was reported that another potential Bloodline member signed with WWE - Hikuleo.
Worst: Bianca Belair with limited TV time and disappearing from the title picture?
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill ran into Chelsea Green and Piper Niven backstage, which led to a singles feud on SmackDown.
The EST of WWE flung Green around the ring and pinned her within minutes for the win. Her celebration was cut short by Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn, the current Women's Tag Team Champions, addressing their rematch.
Belair and Cargill have become an effective tag team since winning the tag championship. However, their loss at Clash the Castle seemed to result in less time in the ring, and their title rematch was lost in the wind. The current titleholders do not seem ecstatic at the thought of it.
Best: LA Knight's SummerSlam title match made official on SmackDown
Last week, LA Knight announced that he and Nick Aldis signed a contract for a United States Championship match at SummerSlam. One key observation was the General Manager's absence from the show, which led fans to believe Knight illegally obtained said signatures.
This week, the incident was not mentioned as Nick Aldis went about business as usual. Logan Paul returned to WWE television and bragged about his accomplishments. Within minutes, Logan Paul and LA Knight started roasting each other to the best of their capabilities.
The Megastar was rooted to become champion and favored to win Money in the Bank last year amidst his rise to prominence in the company. For him to get a one-on-one title shot is much earned after the year he's had.
