Big E and Kofi have such a storied on-screen history at this point that it seems the perfect time to see these two square off.
While many are rightly reluctant to see The New Day break up, that doesn't necessarily need to happen to facilitate this bout. Instead, WWE could keep this feud friendly while beginning to stir up some tension within The New Day.
Kingston could win the number one contendership for the WWE title with Big E cheering him on before realizing what his victory means.
The build-up could hint at some cracks in the group, but with both men insisting that it's strictly business. This could also be intriguing for Woods' character, who can struggle to see his two closest allies at odds. The match itself can be surprisingly physical and intense.
#1 Big E vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Xavier Woods

If The New Day were to implode, the only acceptable pay-off would be for all three to headline WrestleMania.
The trio have carried WWE on umpteen occasions during their years together. They have enormous chemistry, and you can be sure that they will deliver on the grandest stage.
In the scenario above, Big E is a dominant champion who's upset that his peers are no longer supporting him, but arrogant enough to be willing to go it alone. Kingston can feel Big E took things too far and want to prove he is the superior singles competitor.
Woods could be upset at his stablemates for ruining what the trio built and feel he may as well be successful on his own now that it's every man for himself.
The trio can settle their differences in the main event of WrestleMania in a match with a huge story behind it, with each contestant being a viable option to win.
