WWE Friday Night SmackDown is set to air on the FOX Network later tonight. This will be a big show, as it will be the first edition of the blue brand following SummerSlam.

So far, not much is known regarding what will air. A-Town Down Under vs. The Street Profits was teased on The SmackDown LowDown. Additionally, the blue brand return of Roman Reigns has been officially promoted.

Roman's return has been months in the making, and fans are certainly excited to see the Head of the Table. This is certainly a case where absence has caused the heart to grow fonder when it comes to the audience and their interest in The Original Tribal Chief.

Reigns might not be the only performer who will return to the show, however. Other notable names could make their comeback on the blue brand this Friday too. This article will take a look at a handful of beloved stars who could reappear on Friday Night SmackDown.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Below are four WWE stars who could return on SmackDown this week.

#4. Jimmy Uso could come back looking for revenge

Jimmy Uso is one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time. He and Jey Uso had a tag team that changed the face of the division for over a decade. They held the WWE Tag Team Titles for a record length of time.

The former WWE Tag Team Champion has been absent since SmackDown after WrestleMania. It was on that show where Solo Sikoa took over The Bloodline. He and Tama Tonga brutally assaulted Jimmy and took him out.

Uso could look to gain a measure of revenge and attempt to exact it on SmackDown. Just like Roman, he could attack Solo Sikoa. Alternatively, he could level Tama Tonga with a brutal superkick. Nick Aldis could then reveal that Jimmy would be competing with either Solo or Tama at Bash in Berlin.

#3. Nick Aldis could reveal the return of AJ Styles

AJ Styles has been one of the best wrestlers on the planet for decades now. He started his career off in the late 1990s and went on to have massive success in numerous companies before arriving in WWE. He is undoubtedly a future Hall of Famer.

Of everybody on this list, AJ is the most likely to make his return on WWE SmackDown. After not being seen since his loss to Cody Rhodes, The Phenomenal One is rumored to be making his comeback on Friday.

Nick Aldis could be the one to reveal that AJ Styles is returning. Given the fact that AJ is a legend in the industry, The National Treasure hyping Styles up ahead of his return could add even more importance and create more fan interest in the moment.

#2. Roman Reigns could bring Paul Heyman back

Speaking of WWE Hall of Famers, Paul Heyman was recently inducted at the prestigious ceremony. All thanks to his decades-long career spanning from various territories to WCW to ECW to the sports entertainment juggernaut he remains working for today.

Unfortunately, Heyman hasn't been seen in many weeks. The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa brutalized Paul in a shocking turn of events during a recent episode of WWE SmackDown. They even put the manager through a table.

Even if Paul was healthy enough to return, he likely avoided doing so out of fear. Nick Aldis may have kept him away for his health. However, now that Roman Reigns is back, Paul could have a comeback of his own.

#1. Charlotte Flair's WWE return is highly anticipated

Charlotte Flair is one of the most successful female superstars in WWE history. She is a 14-time world champion and looks to one day surpass her father's incredible 16 world title reigns. Given how young Flair is, that seems quite likely.

Unfortunately, The Queen hasn't competed in a WWE ring since December 2023. During a bout with Asuka, Charlotte Flair suffered a bad fall and injured her leg. Recently, however, Flair has been showing off her progress in various workout videos.

This likely indicated that a return could be near. Nick Aldis could reveal her comeback, but another fun option would be for The Queen to interrupt Nia Jax. Which of the two powerful stars is the true queen of SmackDown? They could fight to determine exactly that.
