There have been a lot of rumours about Daniel Bryan's injury and the extent of its severity since the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion was removed from WWE's European tour in April. Now, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has uncovered some information about the situation.
According to Meltzer, Bryan is suffering from concussion-related injuries, and the WWE fears that it could be career ending. It was said that the problems stemmed from a match with Sheamus just before WrestleMania 31, meaning Bryan worked the multi-man ladder match with the issues.
Reports suggest that WWE has chosen to keep the specifics of the injury quiet because of the concussion-related lawsuits filed, and the fact that Bryan continued working shows while suffering symptoms.
On an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio last week, Meltzer mentioned that Bret Hart's recent interview with Sports Illustrated gave away the secret WWE had been trying to keep. Hart said that Bryan would never wrestle again, and compared his injury to the one he sustained at the hands of Goldberg that ended his career.
