The report which stated that Strowman will not feature in TLC due to his injury has reported that John Cena will replace Strowman in his matches during WWE's holiday tour matches. Cena is set to return to the WWE in December at live events, but will not feature on television.

The 16-time world champion has not featured much on WWE television in 2018, and his last match in the WWE was two months ago at WWE's Super Show-Down PPV in Australia. Cena was taken off the Crown Jewel PPV card, where he was set to feature in the WWE World Cup.
Although Cena facing Corbin will not help in WWE's current storyline, it could maybe amp interest in the PPV with a big name like John Cena, following a huge dip in viewership of RAW, hitting the lowest viewership numbers of all-time.
