Braun Strowman did not show up on WWE RAW this Monday following a brutal Last Monster Standing Match against Bronson Reed last week. The Monster Among Men emerged victorious courtesy of an interference by a returning Seth Rollins.

As his next rival is yet to be revealed, there could be a surprise turn, where Braun could join the inaugural Crown Jewel Championship match between reigning World Heavyweight Champion Gunther and reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Even though it has been quite a while since the former Universal Champion challenged for a major title, he could be added to the match by claiming that he is the longest-reigning Greatest Royal Rumble Champion, a feat that he achieved back in 2018, when The Monster Among Men emerged victorious in the 50-man Royal Rumble match.

Six years later, Strowman is still considered a champion, so Triple H could make an exception and add him to the bout, making it a Triple Threat Match.

This change could happen only under one condition: Braun Strowman being medically cleared to compete after sustaining what appears to be a torn groin during the Last Monster Standing Match against Reed on RAW.

Braun Strowman reveals details about the injury he sustained on WWE RAW

Braun Strowman's victory in the Last Monster Standing Match against Bronson Reed on RAW did not come easily.

Strowman, who returned to in-ring action in May 2024 after almost a year off due to neck surgery, took to social media and revealed that he sustained a torn groin early in the match.

Braun posted photos of his right leg, mentioning he got injured just two minutes into the match. No timetable has been shared yet, but Strowman is expected to miss several weeks of in-ring action, if not months, to recover fully.

This could put his participation in the title match in jeopardy as Crown Jewel will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024. It would also hurt the momentum that The Monster Among Men built after his victory over Bronson Reed.

It remains to be seen what plans WWE will have for him once he is back from his injury and whether he will remain as a babyface or he will have a heel turn.
