NXT Takeover: Wargames was a fantastic show from beginning to end, and on November 18th history was made. Drew McIntyre, months removed from his title win in Brooklyn, looked to prove he was more than a transitional champion. The Sinister Scotsman was ready for all challengers, but it looks like he wasn't ready for Andrade "Cien" Almas.
At NXT Takeover: Wargames, the former La Sombra shocked Houston, Texas and the WWE Universe when he took down Drew McIntyre, claiming the NXT championship for himself. This caught many fans by surprise, as it took a few seconds for the crowd to catch on to what had happened. Andrade looks to move forward as the first Latino-born NXT Champion, but has many tough challengers in NXT, not to mention the man he took the title from, Drew McIntyre.
As for McIntyre, it's possible that WWE is ready to move the former champion up to the main roster. Royal Rumble is coming up soon, and there's a chance we may see him make a debut like Tye Dillinger had last year. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for more updates on this story.
