Lesnar caught Strowman in four consecutive German Suplexes, wearing his opponent down. A fifth German Suplex from the Beast marked the sixth of the match but failed to hit the F5 instead getting caught in a running Powerslam from Strowman. The Monster got a near-fall but Lesnar executed an F5 out of nowhere and got the pinfall, retaining his Universal Championship.
Result: Brock Lesnar (c) def. Braun Strowman and retained the WWE Universal Championship.
WWE and Vince McMahon want Roman Reigns to be the one who dethrones the Beast incarnate at WrestleMania 34. This could be the reason why Lesnar went over Strowman cleanly.
