Brock Lesnar hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since SummerSlam 2023. The company seemingly had the perfect storyline to bring him back to the company ahead of last month's WarGames event, but it was CM Punk who was chosen instead.
Punk was able to gain Roman Reigns' respect in the match and helped his team pick up the win. Moving forward it seems like the Bloodline story could be set to continue but Paul Heyman could have another enemy waiting to strike.
Lesnar was heavily speculated by the fans to be the man who would return for WarGames, and it would have been the perfect place for him to slot back into the story, but instead, Heyman chose CM Punk.

Whether this will lead to a feud between Punk and Lesnar or Heyman and his former client could be an interesting swerve. Punk seems to have a feud with Seth Rollins leading into WrestleMania 41, so it could be Heyman that he targets upon his return.
Lesnar was told that he couldn't challenge for the title while Roman Reigns still held it, but he doesn't anymore, which means that if he has an issue with Heyman, then he can take it out on his newest client.
Is WWE ready to let Brock Lesnar make his return?
Brock Lesnar has been away from WWE because of personal issues outside of the ring that allegedly linked him to the Janel Grant lawsuit. That being said, Triple H has been open about Lesnar's potential WWE return and noted that when the star was ready to return, then he would.
After almost 18 months on the sidelines, it could finally be time to write The Beast back into storylines. Ahead of WrestleMania 41, Brock Lesnar could be the difference maker in the build-up to the show, especially if The Rock opts to not be involved this time around.
