Brock Lesnar was last seen at SummerSlam 2023, where he took a loss against Cody Rhodes. He could finally show up to challenge Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.

Fans have been itching for a showdown between Lesnar and the reigning World Heavyweight Champion ever since their encounter at the Royal Rumble 2023 Premium Live Event. Although Brock was supposed to return to WWE at the Royal Rumble 2024 in January, those plans hit a snag due to some legal issues involving Vince McMahon. However, Lesnar's contract with WWE is still active, so they can bring him back whenever it fits their plans.

Brock Lesnar could finally return after Gunther's match with Finn Balor. A staredown between him and The Ring General would be an epic way to kick off a dream match with the World Heavyweight Champion. Gunther has been showing off his incredible strength, and going up against Lesnar would boost his reputation and the value of his title.

There’s no official word on his comeback yet, but a few things have sparked speculation. Paul Heyman mentioned him in his WWE Hall of Fame speech this year. Plus, Triple H told fans during a press conference that The Beast Incarnate hasn’t left the company; he’s just on a break.

The idea of Lesnar going up against Gunther has fans talking for several reasons. Both guys are huge and can put on a hard-hitting show. Plus, Gunther has made it clear that he wants to take on Lesnar, and we all know Lesnar usually shines when he's up against someone with the caliber of the reigning champion.

If Lesnar shows up at SNME, it could kick off an incredible rivalry that leads to a match for the history books. We’ll have to wait and see if December 14 is the night when this long-awaited dream matchup finally starts to come together. Right now, it’s all just speculation.

Gunther wanted to face Brock Lesnar

The match was initially planned for WrestleMania 40, but those plans got put on hold because of the lawsuit involving former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

The leader of Imperium has openly recognized the excitement about a possible clash with Brock Lesnar. In a chat with the Daily Mail, he shared his enthusiasm for the match and reminisced about their short encounter at the 2023 Royal Rumble:

"We’ll see if there’s a chance for it to happen again. I’m more than up for it," Gunther shared. "How the situation is exactly right now, I’m really not that informed about it, to be honest. I think we had that one face-off in the Royal Rumble. The reaction that was there was a confirmation for me."

Brock Lesnar is still signed with WWE, and even though the match didn’t happen at WrestleMania 40, there’s still a chance it could go down now. With WrestleMania 41 coming up and the unofficial build-up kicking off in December, fans are hoping that the epic showdown between The Beast Incarnate and Gunther will finally take place.
