Brock Lesnar has been out of action for over 15 months now. His last match took place at WWE SummerSlam against Cody Rhodes last year.

However, The Beast Incarnate could finally make his return at Survivor Series later this month. There is a possibility that he might make a surprise appearance by attacking the current World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther.

One reason behind this could be Lesnar’s desire to capture the World Heavyweight Championship. While he has held the WWE and Universal Championships multiple times, he has never won the World Heavyweight Title. A feud with The Ring General could be his first major program upon return.

That said, his return may not be so simple. Lesnar's name was allegedly alluded to in the Janel Grant lawsuit concerning sexual assault allegations against Vince McMahon earlier this year. As a result, The Beast will need to be cleared by WWE’s legal team before there is any plan of a potential in-ring return.

Current WWE champion wants to face Brock Lesnar

Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar has long been a dream matchup that fans have been clamoring for. It turns out the Imperium leader wants it too.

In an interview with Under the Ring last year, Gunther had expressed his desire to face The Beast Incarnate. He referred to Lesnar as his "End Boss" and mentioned that he wanted to step into the ring with him to validate himself.

"You never really know what you get with Brock. It's definitely a match I want to have and I want to do. I feel Brock is somebody, I just make it my thing, I make him my personal 'End Boss.' That's the guy that, at one point, I have to step in the ring (with) to validate myself," he said. [H/T - Fightful]

It will be exciting to see if this highly anticipated matchup takes place some time down the line once the roadblocks are gone.
