This weeks episode of Raw made the upcoming Pay Per View seem like something relevant. Tables, Ladders and Chairs is the final PPV of the year for the WWE. The announcement that the main event will feature the World Heavyweight Champion and the WWE Champion in a match set to determine the face of the company.
The night ended with Orton standing tall holding both the titles. It is still unclear whether the person who wins at TLC will hold both the titles or unify them into one undisputed title.
Anyway, no matter how overtly excited WWE wants the crowd to be for the face-off between the two top stars of the company, the audience in the arena were fixed on chanting for Daniel Bryan. So much so that, even John Cena acknowledged it.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
But instead of looking at this incident as an exhibit of how WWE is not connected to its audience, it can be looked as an opportunity to hike up interest and excitement towards another Daniel Bryan main event run. The audience in the arena was clearly of the opinion that Daniel Bryan deserved to be the one to vanquish the Authority.
For now, Bryan has been kept out of the main event and there is a chance for a comeback where Bryan can be thrust back to this storyline to get what he so rightly deserved in the first place- the WWE title. But maybe this time he might get a chance to win the Undisputed title.
The Authority storyline is reported to run through to Wrestlemania and therefore in approximately 5 months there is a lot of room for many twists and turns. One possibility is that Vince McMahon returns as a face and does the right thing- putting Bryan back in the title hunt.
Another possibility, which is more likely, is that Cena becomes the Undisputed Champion and then chooses to face Daniel Bryan and just like their feud up until Summerslam, Bryan defeats Cena to earn the biggest prize in the WWE. This can take place at Wrestlemania – the same platform where he lost in 18 seconds and went on to start the ‘Yes’ Revolution.
If this is the path that WWE takes, then that makes Daniel Bryan look like a legitimate feel good story. There have been many storylines in the WWE where being the underdog just ran its course. John Cena is the biggest example.
Randy Orton is reported to be written into the title picture till January. This makes room for Bryan to come back before Wrestlemania 30.
If Daniel Bryan returns to the storyline after weeks or months, it will just skyrocket the decibel levels of his fans.
