Here are five fun facts about Braun Strowman.
#4 He is a strongman champion
Men like Braun aren't grown on trees. They're forged in the fires of intense athletic competition.
Braun is a multi-time strongman champion, winning six titles from 2010-2012. Competing in such events as dead lifting and car-pulling, Braun Strowman developed the awesome power that serves him so well in his WWE role.
#3 He is an animal lover
Braun Strowman may play a monster on TV, but in real life he has a soft spot for wildlife!
Braun Strowman is a self-professed redneck, and like many outdoorsmen he is deeply concerned with the welfare of the environment and the creatures that dwell there.
On his off time he hunts wild hogs, catches them, then releases them, unharmed, into a new habitat well away from dangers such as interstate highways.
#2 He was a Rosebud
Remember Adam Rose, the WWE's answer to Slurms Mackenzie? You know, he traveled between arenas via the Exotic Express, and was accompanied by a large entourage of "Rosebuds?"
Not ringing any bells? You're probably not alone. While the Adam Rose gimmick flopped like a landed fish, it was interesting to note that many of the WWE's current stars were part of his entourage. Braun just doesn't seem so monstrous with that goofy grin on his bearded face.
#1 His father is one of the greatest softball players of all time.
Athleticism runs in the family!
Braun's father Rick Scherr is recognized as one of the greatest, if not the greatest of all time, slow pitch softball players.
Rick's nickname was 'the crusher,' and it's not hard to see why. The apple certainly didn't fall very far away from that tree!
