On the September 9th edition of Monday Night RAW, the Chad Gable-led American Made faced The Wyatt Sicks in a Mixed Tag Team Street Fight. In this match, the Uncle Howdy-led faction managed to win and put an end to the rivalry between the two teams.
Currently, WWE seems to be building a rivalry between American Made and The New Day, but it looks like Gable and his crew will be attacked by a returning RAW faction before they can eye Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. The returning RAW faction in question is The Viking Raiders.
During last night's episode of RAW, a mysterious video played with some letters on the screen and a voice that said, "Fate is woven." The 30-second-long video did not reveal any identity, and fans began speculating who it could be. There is a very good chance that this video is an indication of the return of The Viking Raiders.
A user on social media wrote a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the letters that appeared on the screen translated to WAR in the Elder Futhark language, which is the oldest form of the Runic alphabet. This observation is rather interesting because, during their time on NXT, Erik and Ivar were known as The War Raiders.
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
Hence, if it's The Viking Raiders coming back, then it won't be surprising to see them go after Chad Gable because, before Erik was injured in September 2023, The Viking Raiders faced Chad Gable and Otis, who formed The Alpha Academy back then.
The Viking Raiders lost this match to Gable and Otis, which could prompt them to go after American Made's leader. It will be interesting to see what happens on RAW in the coming weeks.
Wrestling veteran feels WWE had dropped the ball with Chad Gable
Even though Chad Gable has yet to win his first singles championship in WWE, it can't be denied that he is one of the best in-ring workers on the roster. Gable's performances in the ring have led to fans wanting to see him become champion, and many believe WWE dropped the ball with Gable on many occasions.
One man who agrees is someone Gable has been compared to, and that is Kurt Angle. Recently, the Olympic gold medalist appeared on K&S WrestleFest and mentioned that while WWE had dropped the ball with Chad Gable, things have changed for the better.
Angle said:
"I felt like they dropped the ball with him for a while. I know he's a little bit undersized, but he's actually, he can go with anybody. [...] Chad, I love the stuff he's doing right now. I love the fans chanting 'You S**k!' to him. I'm glad he found a niche that's good for him. But I also believe he's not the next up-and-coming Kurt Angle. I think he's Chad Gable, and he's proved himself."
While WWE has certainly come a long way with Chad Gable, it will be interesting to see when it will book him to win his first singles championship. Recently, Triple H booked Jey Uso to win a singles title for the first time in his 14 years with the Stamford-based promotion. Based on that, Gable's time should come.
