2024 was a big year for WWE for several reasons. Aside from the high-profile matches, one thing that stood out this year was that the line between reality and fiction was blurred, which made each feud and storyline more exciting. However, there were also times when some moments became too personal.
Some of the top WWE feuds of this year include Cody Rhodes vs. The Bloodline, CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre, Bayley vs. Damage CTRL, Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan, and much more. While some of these feuds relied on their on-screen history, some didn't shy away from dabbling some details regarding their personal life and some backstage moments.
For this list, we will look at four times WWE Superstars crossed the line in 2024.

#4. The Rock verbally attacked Cody Rhodes' mother
Mama Rhodes, Michelle Rubio, got up close and personal with some superstars in 2024 on behalf of her son, Cody Rhodes. At Clash at the Castle, she didn't shy away from slapping AJ Styles multiple times after talking badly about her and her son. However, an earlier incident happened at WrestleMania XL.
During Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins' tag team match against Roman Reigns and The Rock on the first night of WrestleMania XL, Dwayne Johnson went to the audience and talked trash in front of Michelle before whipping her son with a belt that has The Brahma Bull's logo and the name Mama Rhodes.
It should also be noted that although that event was the first time The Final Boss and Michelle faced during the feud, the former has been calling out Mama Rhodes throughout the feud and used the same belt to attack and wipe Cody's blood on during a RAW episode.
#3. Kevin Owens injures Randy Orton on purpose on WWE SmackDown
Randy Orton's career and future were questioned in 2022 when he was sidelined with a back injury for almost two years. There was a point where he was about to retire for good due to it, but fortunately managed to heal up and has returned to action. However, his former partner decided to use this weakness against him.
Kevin Owens and Randy Orton became unlikely allies on SmackDown but this partnership turned sour when Cody Rhodes teamed up with Roman Reigns. The Viper chose to side with The American Nightmare despite The Prizefighter's previous issues with The Bloodline.
Since then, Owens and Orton began feuding but things took a turn in November when Kevin delivered a Piledriver that heavily impacted The Viper's back. The 14-time World Champion hasn't been on television since Kevin continues doing the same to Cody. While this moment was rooted in The Viper's personal health issues, it should be noted that all of this was just for storyline purposes, and is believed to be doing fine.
#2. The New Day mocks Big E's injuries and girlfriend
Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods' tension on WWE RAW was one of the moments they looked forward to on the Monday show. Many thought The New Day was about to end due to their endless bickering, but that all changed when they celebrated their 10th Anniversary.
During their decade anniversary celebration, Big E returned for the first time on a weekly show after his neck injury in 2022 to try and patch things up with the duo. Unfortunately, it ended up with them insulting him for not being by their side even just as a manager, completely belittling his injuries. They also noted that although E was injured, he would take projects outside WWE and spend more time with his new girlfriend.
#1. Seth Rollins targeted CM Punk's family
Seth Rollins and CM Punk ended the year with a bang by going all out on their final WWE RAW segment before their singles match on next week's Netflix premiere. As expected from both men, they didn't need to get physical to hurt each other.
Punk noted how the previous boss of the Stamford-based promotion, Vince McMahon, hated him but loved Seth and even referenced the absence of Becky Lynch in the company. Meanwhile, Seth referenced Punk's time in AEW and attacked him about not having children with AJ Lee.
