In what comes as quite a surprise(depending on one’s perspective), Y2J took to Instagram to bash the Australian duo of NXT, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce!(WARNING: Profanity)
Naturally, this was just Y2J being in character. He is currently involved in a storyline with Universal Champion Kevin Owens where they are best friends. He is an integral part of the main-event storyline despite not being a main figure in it. Many fans have considered Jericho to be the most entertaining thing about Raw, and also many believe that his entertainment value has even overshadowed Raw’s main event storyline.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, on the other hand, are up and coming stars in NXT who have just started getting their opportunities and main TV time over the last few months. With NXT having been raided, their women’s division was left with fresh, green and hungry talent including the likes of the duo, Liv Morgan, Ember Moon, Nikki Cross amongst others. After the departure of Bayley, Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, and Carmella; these women are getting far more screen time and the Australian Duo of The Countess and The Venus Flytrap have been among the most prominently featured women on the NXT roster in recent weeks. Naturally, they are being set up and pushed for larger roles in the future. NXT is back to it’s rebuilding stage, especially the women’s division. Currently, there are seemingly no challengers ready to take on NXT Women’s Champion Asuka, which is what prompted NXT to get Mickie James as an opponent for The Empress Of Tomorrow in NXT Takeover: Toronto next month on November 19th.
Jericho has been among the goldmines of Raw this past year, and will sorely be missed when he leaves at the end of this year or early next year.
Here is a clip of Billie Kay’s most recent match with Aliyah, where she and Peyton Royce handed out a beatdown to Aliyah and Liv Morgan
Meanwhile, this past Monday, Jericho was busy hunting for The List!
