Chris Jericho was a guest on the Keepin' it 100 podcast, where he was interviewed by WCW alumni and former NWO members Disco Inferno and Konnan. Jericho discussed how things are working for AEW and the overall creative process. But more strikingly, he criticized WWE's creative process in their handling of promos and angles.
Jericho talked about WWE's booking of The Fiend and labelled it cartoonish. He said,
"I watched Survivor Series and it was really good. But they had this promo with Daniel Bryan and Miz and it's like, for the sake of our children, our families, you have to stop The Fiend. Nobody talks like that.
"You know what I mean? You can still put the guy over big time but, not worry, like, what... is he's going to come to your house and break in your house and steal your kids... it's just not believable. And it's cartoonish in a bad way."

He then brought up how Roman Reigns would be "so over" in AEW because he's a legit cool dude. He said,
"If you had a guy like Roman Reigns in AEW, he would be so over. Roman is so legit, a real cool dude, man. He's a great guy. He's super cool. He's like the guy you want to hang out with.
"And you know, they never portray him like that on the show. They always give him these promos to read and the real Roman Reigns never really shines through."
Jericho then said that the same applies to Seth Rollins, who doesn't shine through either. He believes both Rollins and Reigns have their own unique personality and that the higher-ups shouldn't write stuff for them.
Does Jericho have a point with regard to Roman Reigns? One thing is clear either way: that Jericho is a huge fan of The Big Dog.
