Christopher Keith Irvine, most popularly known as Chris Jericho is an American-Canadian Professional Wrestler, Actor and a Rock Musician. He is currently signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and is the leader of Jericho Appreciation Society. By critics and peers, Jericho is considered as one of the professional wrestlers of all time.
Jericho started his professional wrestling training at Hart Brothers School of Wrestling in 1990. He made his in-ring debut at an independent circuit in Moose Hall, Ponoka, Alberta. Jericho appeared on multiple wrestling promotions and started international tours, including Japan's Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling & Wrestling And Romance, Mexico's Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. He then traveled to the U.S. and joined ECW in 1996 by the recommendations of Benoit, Dave Meltzer and Perry Saturn. Jericho then had a three year WCW run, where he was in the cruiserweight division for two years and won WCW Cruiserweight Championship and WCW World Television Championship.
He then toured Japan wrestling for NJPW and came back to join WWF for the first time. The company hyped his debut a week before by advertising a clock with the "Countdown to the New Millenium". He made his debut interrupting a promo segment of The Rock. Jericho was seen as a championship material and a top class wrestler of the company that made him the Intercontinental Champion and Undisputed WWF Champion sooner. He feuded with top wrestlers of the business such as The Rock, Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Benoit, Edge, Hulk Hogan and others. Jericho had accomplished a lot of fame, popularity and Championships while wrestling for WWE.
He is the Undisputed WWF Champion once, World Heavyweight Champion thrice, Intercontinental Champion nine times, United States Champion twice, European Champion once, Hardcore Champion once, WWE Tag Team Champion twice and World Tag Team Champion five times. By capturing almost all the golds of the company, he is a fourth Grand Slam Champion and Ninth Triple Crown Champion. Jericho joined All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and became the inaugural AEW World Champion. He started a heel stable as soon as he joined which was named "The Inner Circle". The stable is now renamed and updated to "Jericho Appreciation Society". He also appears on ROH and NJPW with an association with AEW.
