Chris Jericho talks current friends in wrestling, WWE's drug testing being legit

Chris Jericho swears by the WWE’s drug testing policy

On a recent episode of his popular podcast ‘Talk is Jericho’, he spoke on a number of topics including his current friends when on the road and WWE’s stringent drug testing. Chris Jericho was last seen on WWE TV when he turned out to be the mystery partner for Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose against the Wyatt family at this year’s Night of Champions PPV.

Who he hangs out with when touring with the WWE

Jericho who has been with the WWE for over 15 years and in the wrestling business for 25 years, has been among one of the few guys who have managed to stay fresh with the audience.

However, in his time with the company he has seen many wrestlers, some of his close friends come and go.

"When I go on the road [with WWE now], I hang out with [Sami] Zayn, and Neville, and the Usos, and big uce, [Roman] Reigns, and [Dean] Ambrose, and Seth [Rollins], and [Dolph] Ziggler, Miz.

Those guys are my friends and they're all 10 years younger than me, but that's who I hang out with because all the guys that I know are pretty much gone. They're either retired or dead."

WWE’s drug testing

Jericho swears by the drug testing policy that WWE has in place. He brought up the one time in 2008 when he was about to be suspended for having elevated levels of testosterone. It turned out that Y2J had naturally elevated levels of Testosterone, because of which he couldn’t be suspended.

"The testing is real. Concussion testing. Heart testing. Everything is very, very strict because [WWE] wanted to stop guys from basically dying at a young age and wanted to take control of it." says the former WWE world champion.
