Each week we take a look back at the week before via the Instagram accounts of WWE and NXT Superstars. Some of your favorite Superstars give you a candid look into their lives both in and out of the ring.
This week we feature Superstars such as The Undisputed Era, The Balor Club, Sheamus and many more, including the latest announced inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame, Class of 2018: Goldberg. We also take a sneak peek at the newest WWE signees. War Machine, Candice LaRae, and Ricochet have all signed WWE contracts and are all currently training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
#14 Moving on
If a picture is worth a thousand words, this one is worth a million. Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels are undoubtedly two of the greatest WWE Superstars of all-time. These two have paved the way and set standards by which today's Superstars strive to obtain. However, things have not always been kosher between the two Hall of Famers. Thanks to the infamous "Montreal Screw Job", Bret and Shawn were at odds for many years. But, this photo that was recently posted on WWE's official Instagram account shows the two stars burying the hatchet once and for all.
#13 Step aside ladies, the Squad has arrived
Ruby Riott is leading the charge for what may very well be the next big thing in women's wrestling. Paired with Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan, together they make The Riott Squad and have already made a huge impact on the WWE SmackDown Live roster. It'll be interesting to see if one of these ladies stands strong as one of the last ladies standing this Sunday night in the first-ever women's Royal Rumble match.
#12 Raw is Carmella
Carmella is one of the ladies who was at the forefront of the women's revolution when there was a slew of call-ups from NXT. Surprisingly, Carmella was not really known for being much of an in-ring competitor while in NXT. In fact, she was more or less simply known as the eye candy for Enzo and Cass. Not to worry though, as Carmella adapted to life inside the ring very well and quickly.
#11 Started from the bottom...
As you can see, The New Day recently made an appearance on the Jimmy Fallon Show. In fact, they were joined by Stephanie McMahon and Triple H as they battled each other in an impromptu lip-sync battle.
#10 One great fella
WWE Superstar Sheamus made his name for being one of the top singles competitors in the company. However, it seems as if the Celtic Warrior has turned the page and started a new chapter as he and Cesaro are paired together as one of the best current tag teams on the planet. While things may have started out sort of sketchy in the beginning, the duo is stronger than ever now, and have a tremendous amount of unbreakable chemistry. Don't be surprised if these guys quickly reclaim the Raw Tag Team Titles in the very near future.
#9 Doom and gloom awaits all
Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are, in my opinion, two of the most underrated WWE Superstars on any current roster. During their time with The Wyatt Family, they were involved in some of the most entertaining and historic feuds in recent years.
After a short stint on the shelf nursing injuries, Harper and Rowan are back, as vicious as ever, with a new identity. The Bludgeon Brothers are poised to make a run to the top of the tag team division and if they don't get there, it will go down as one of the most squandered uses of prime talent in history.
#8 Championship dreams
Life is good for current NXT Champion Andrade 'Cien' Almas. After upsetting Drew McIntyre to become the new champ, Almas has been able to hold onto the strap for nearly 70 days so far. However, Andrade has his hands full this weekend as he defends his title against Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia.
#7 Selfie of a monster
When Braun Strowman joined the NXT roster, he had absolutely zero experience as a professional wrestler. Braun came to the company as a former pro strong man, but he also had something that very few people possess, which is that ever elusive 'it factor'.
Since making his main roster debut, Braun Strowman has gone from the muscle of The Wyatt Family to Universal Championship contender. As we look forward to The Royal Rumble, Strowman could be walking out of the arena with the big red strap around his monstrous waist.
#6 The year of The Balor Club is upon us
Finn Balor, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows are currently on fire as The Balor Club is seemingly taking over the WWE. Finn has his ship pointed in the right direction as his crew of 'good brothers' is gelling with great chemistry.
It looks like 2018 may very well be the year of The Balor Club, but will the stable add to their lineup, or leave it as is?
#5 D-Generation F (Fashion)
Fandango and Tyler Breeze are making the best of an unfortunate situation as they continue to find new ways to entertain the WWE Universe, despite the poor booking they are being forced to endure.
#4 The Axe Man cometh
Curtis Axel got the Reading, PA fans worked into a frenzy recently at a WWE live event. The Axe Man unveiled his Minnesota Vikings jersey in front of the fans in attendance, right before taking on The Shield in six-man tag team action.
#3 Have shovel, will bury
NXT is a revolving door of premier talent, but no matter how many stars make the jump to the main roster, the yellow squads seem to always remain relevant with top stars from all over the world. One of the top signings in recent years was the addition of the tag team formerly known as 'reDRagon'. Now teamed with Adam Cole in the faction known as The Undisputed Era, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish sit atop the NXT tag team division as the current NXT Tag Team Champions.
#2 Welcome, Mr. HOF'er
WWE announced the very first member of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2018 with the announcement of Goldberg getting the nod.
Goldberg made history with his unprecedented undefeated streak in WCW. He would then go on to have a brief stint in Japan before eventually making his first WWE debut in 2003. Goldberg had recently made a tremendous comeback, winning the WWE Universal Championship during a historical rivalry against Brock Lesnar.
#1 New blood has arrived
The biggest news of the week came out of the WWE Performance Center with the announcement of four top-tier indie stars signing with the company. Ricochet, Candice LeRae and one of the best tag teams in recent years, War Machine, have all signed on as new NXT Superstars.
All four of these new signees range in age from the youngest being Ricochet at 29 years old, to the oldest being both Ray Rowe and Todd Hanson of War Machine. Both of those guys are 33 and LeRae comes in at 32 years old as well. All of these new signees are well-traveled, highly experienced and have all won major titles around the world.
