#4 CM Punk failed to win King of the Ring
One of the biggest tournaments that have been taking place in WWE for a very long time is King Of The Ring. Most of this tournament's winners have seen their careers go from the bottom to the top. A few names to have benefitted the most are Ted DiBiase, Stone Cold "Steve Austin", and Booker T.

Now during CM Punk's decade-long WWE stint, a total of three King Of The Ring tournaments took place but he partook in only one of them. In 2008, Punk was one of the eight participants in the KOTR tournament.

He first defeated one half of The Hardy Brothers, Matt Hardy, in the quarterfinals and then scored a pinfall over Chris Jericho to advance into the finals. However, he was there defeated by William Regal who eluded the title of KOTR from Punk.
Nonetheless, the next KOTR tournament took place two years later. While Punk had a good chance to win the title of KOTR, he had been suffering from an injury that year, which is why he had to skip the tournament.
