#2 CM Punk failed to win a Royal Rumble match

Throughout his time with WWE, CM Punk participated in a total of five Royal Rumble matches but he was never the last man standing. For example, in his debut Rumble match, Punk represented ECW. He lasted over 20-minutes and eliminated only one star before getting eliminated by Chavo Guerrero.
"The Best In The World" took part in Rumble matches for the next few years, but he was merely a favorite. The time however came for Punk when he almost grabbed a Rumble victory. In 2011, Punk entered Rumble as the 21st entrant.
Is this man the funniest man in wrestling?
He eliminated a total of seven stars before "The Face That Runs The Place" John Cena threw him off the top rope. Surprisingly, it was a blessing in disguise for Punk as he started the biggest feud of his career with Cena a few days later.
Nonetheless, Punk again came close to winning Rumble in 2014. He even made it into the top four but was thrown over the top rope by Kane. If only Punk had won, he could have then achieved the very thing that's mentioned next on this list.
