For the last six years, wrestling fans have wondered when and if former WWE star CM Punk would get back in the ring. After his shock return on WWE Backstage last week, it got the questions going even more and more.
Will CM Punk wrestle again?
While appearing on his first official episode of Backstage, Punk was interviewed by Renee Young. Young asked the question everyone wanted to ask Punk, and he said that "it's a bridge that needs to be built."
Punk went on to elaborate that he works for FOX and not the WWE and that "he hasn't talked with anyone in the WWE."

He did say that he's 41 and that he knows enough not to say no, however, it's not something that "he's actively pursued".
The main takeaway was that Punk felt that before he would potentially get back in a wrestling ring, there would need to be some bridges that needed to be rebuilt. The Voice of the Voiceless famously walked out in 2014 and hasn't been one to talk about wrestling much since.
But due to being affiliated with the product due to a partnership with FOX once more, Punk did reveal that he thinks wrestling could be so much better. He also claimed to always feel that way.
"It's something now that I can do and find my way in the business again because there is a lot that is broken."
While he did not outright say that he'll be in a ring next week or next month, we can never say never. Things are always changing in the pro wrestling landscape and the likes of the Ultimate Warrior, Alberto Del Rio and even Madusa returned to the company in some fashion after having a prior issue with the WWE.
We need to let the man breathe and get reacquainted with pro wrestling in 2019 because he wasn't lying when he said he hasn't kept up with things in the six years since he left. He'll return when and if he wants to, and we'll all be winners if he does.
