CM Punk and Seth Rollins will be under the same roof on tonight's episode of Monday Night RAW. Fans can expect the superstars to engage in a promo battle, maybe even a brawl, ahead of their singles match on January 6, 2025. However, The Second City Saint's target for RAW might not be The Visionary.
Punk went up against World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in a steel cage match in Chicago at a WWE Live Event on December 29, 2024. It was Dominik Mysterio who interfered during the match and slammed the cage door on the challenger's face, costing him the bout. The Voice of the Voiceless can decide not to target the Austrian for a while and instead turn his focus on 'Dirty' Dom.
The Second City Saint may look to teach Dominik a lesson for interfering in his championship match. WWE can book a mini-feud between Punk and The Judgment Day star to give fans a break from longer storylines.
While the abovementioned prospect is intriguing, the Stamford-based promotion usually does not reference live events on weekly television shows. There is a higher chance of Punk and Mysterio not coming face-to-face on WWE RAW and having different storylines on WWE TV.
WWE Hall of Famer believes Seth Rollins and CM Punk's recent segment could have been better
CM Punk and Seth Rollins recently engaged in a heated brawl, prompting security to come out and separate them.
As per WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long, the segment's booking could have been better. Long wanted WWE RAW general manager Adam Pearce to come out and threaten to suspend the superstars.
"When I see something that could be better, it bothers me. So I am saying I would have liked to see maybe two real strong pull-parts, ok? Now, after you do that, when they go to do that third one, here comes the GM (...) Adam Pearce comes down, and he puts a foot down and let these two guys know, 'Listen, one more thing and you are suspended, or either you are out or whatever,'" Long said on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine.
CM Punk and Seth Rollins' feud reignited in 2023 when the former returned to WWE at Survivor Series.
