CM Punk has stirred up a storm since returning to WWE at Survivor Series 2023. He has been a top babyface for the company since his shocking comeback and his first full-fledged rivalry saw him go after Drew McIntyre for nearly a year. He cost McIntyre many big opportunities while remaining a face in the feud.
The Best In The World is now set to begin his rivalry with Seth Rollins heading into 2025. The two men could compete for several months and ensure that WWE fans get the best of what they have to offer. The Second City Saint could do some crazy things to ensure that the following year truly becomes a notable one for him. He also has the power to pull some strings in the company.
Check out our five major predictions for CM Punk in 2025 below:
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
#5. CM Punk will turn heel in his feud with Seth Rollins
CM Punk has been one of the top babyfaces in WWE since his return at Survivor Series last year. He has done well in his rivalries with Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins. Although many WWE fans expect Rollins to turn heel in his rivalry with Punk, Triple H could do the unthinkable and pull off a double turn.
CM Punk could turn heel in the rivalry, allowing The Visionary to come across as the babyface. The Second City Saint works extremely well as a bad guy, and giving him the villainous character would help him stay on top in 2025.
The rivalry between Punk and Rollins will likely continue for several months and a heel turn for the former could allow both men to deliver some effective promos and matches down the line.
#4. Bring AJ Lee back to WWE to counter Becky Lynch
Becky Lynch has been advertised to return as part of the WWE RAW’s Netflix move. The Man has been out of action for some time, and it would be great to see her back in the Stamford-based promotion.
Her husband Seth Rollins is in a rivalry with CM Punk, and she could become part of the feud. She was name-dropped a few times in the recent promo battle between The Best in the World and The Visionary.
WWE fans could see her return on RAW’s Netflix premiere to help her husband win the contest, or return later to clap back at CM Punk for bringing her into the feud. This could prompt Punk to bring back his wife AJ Lee to the promotion again.
The 37-year-old former WWE Superstar left the company in 2015, and could simply return for a few promos and maybe a brawl with Beck Lynch. It will add a lot more heat to the rivalry between the two top stars on the red brand.
#3. The Second City Saint will fail to win at Elimination Chamber
CM Punk will likely be one of the top WWE Superstars to feature in the Men's Elimination Chamber Match this year. He has already been advertised on the poster for the upcoming PLE.
Elimination Chamber has high value for the superstars involved as the winner usually gets a World Championship match at WrestleMania. This year's bout will also likely feature John Cena.
WWE could keep the two veterans away from winning the clash as they have already done a lot in the past. Instead, a new face could win the 'Chamber Match for a World Title opportunity at WrestleMania 41.
It would be great to see The Second City Saint fall short after lasting a long time in the contest. He has won some big matches since his return and now needs to lose a few to build as a heel.
#2. Ask Paul Heyman for the most insane favor
Paul Heyman still owes CM Punk a massive favor for helping the OG Bloodline out at Survivor Series: WarGames. Meanwhile, Roman Reigns will face Solo Sikoa in a Tribal Combat Match on RAW’s Netflix premiere.
A heelish Punk could get the wildest idea to earn a match for WrestleMania 41. He could demand Heyman to get him a bout against Roman Reigns for The Show of Shows, possibly with a big title or something valuable on the line.
He could ask to compete in a match for the title of The Tribal Chief at The Show of Shows. He could do so to simply take everything away from the OTC and also get under Seth Rollins’ skin even more.
CM Punk has helped the OG Bloodline to win a crucial match against Solo Sikoa’s men, and he could state that he deserves to get a shot at winning the Ula Fala and getting The Wiseman’s services.
#1. CM Punk could call out The Rock for a blockbuster match
Most WWE fans want to see Roman Reigns and The Rock compete at WrestleMania 41. However, rumors suggest that the OTC could take on CM Punk on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
If the title of Tribal Chief is on the line at the event, then The Rock could watch the match very closely. It could also lead to his next big clash in the company.
The Second City Saint could beat Roman Reigns and become the new Tribal Chief. He could then call out The Rock for a massive contest for the title at SummerSlam 2025.
Having a big match between the two stars could prove to be worthwhile for the company. It could also lay the platform for a clash between Reigns and The Rock for WrestleMania 42.
