CM Punk will show up on WWE RAW this Monday and will certainly have a lot to say. The Best in the World's rivalry with Seth Rollins intensified last week on the red brand, but at the same time, Punk has made it clear that he is focused on the bigger picture, to become world champion again.
With that in mind, we take a look at three things CM Punk can do on RAW this Monday.
#3. He could declare for the Royal Rumble
Royal Rumble is the next big premium live event in the WWE schedule and the first one in 2025. It will take place in Indianapolis, six weeks from now, on Saturday, February 1.
This Monday night on RAW, The Best in the World could become the first major star to declare for the Rumble, aiming to win it and go on to main-event WrestleMania 41.
CM Punk hinted at becoming a world champion at 'Mania a couple of weeks ago, but this time, he could make his participation in the Royal Rumble match official.
Last year, Punk had also declared for the Rumble and came very close to winning it, but it was Cody Rhodes who eliminated him and clinched a title shot against then Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.
#2. CM Punk could continue his rivalry with Seth Rollins
The rivalry between the two megastars has reached a new level, with CM Punk and Seth Rollins taking shots at one another last week after having a physical confrontation the week before on the red brand.
Continuing this feud further, The Best in the World could take another shot at The Visionary, adding more fuel to their feud. He could also address the reports about a match between the two on the RAW premiere on Netflix in three weeks.
Even if WWE goes that way, their rivalry is far from over, and the WWE creative team seemingly has plans to extend it until WrestleMania 41. If that happens, the expectation is that the World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line.
#1. He could challenge Gunther for a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship
Ever since his feud with Drew McIntyre came to an end a couple of months ago, CM Punk made it clear that he was coming after Gunther in search of his first world championship in more than 10 years.
After a two-month hiatus, Punk returned at Survivor Series 2024 where he was part of The Bloodline Civil War but has now returned to singles competition on the red brand. With The Ring General awaiting his next challenger, The Best in the World could step up and emerge as the next title contender.
When this match will happen, though, remains unclear, especially if RAW GM Adam Pearce announces a match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins for the premiere episode on Netflix on January 6.
If this happens, then the title match between Punk and Gunther could take place at the Royal Rumble on February 1. It is also likely that Adam Pearce could make the Punk vs. Rollins match on the premiere episode on Netflix a No.1 Contender's Match, with the winner facing Gunther for the title at Royal Rumble.
