CM Punk tasted WrestleMania success for the first time at 'Mania 24. At the event, he claimed the Money In The Bank briefcase. This was a brilliant win for the rising star.

Back then, the briefcase was a relatively new concept (originating at WrestleMania 21). It was seen as a tool to surprise fans. However, the reality of it was that it was a tool for getting new guys over.

There were great names in this match as well. Stars like Chris Jericho, MVP, and John Morrison all played their part in making the match feel special.
The only fault with the match is the eventual fallout. Despite Punk winning the world title off of his eventual cash-in, the company failed to push him properly.
This setback doesn't take away from the original match. There were plenty of memorable moments. It was also great for CM Punk fans to see him getting pushed. The setbacks were eventually corrected at the following year's 'Mania as part of another memorable moment.
