CM Punk’s SummerSlam 2024 match - vs. Drew McIntyre
CM Punk made his WWE return in Survivor Series 2023 and soon got into a scuffle with Seth Rollins. Rollins’ WrestleMania opponent Drew McIntyre started taking continuous digs at CM Punk before the event. At WrestleMania, McIntyre won the match but Punk beat him down allowing Mr. Money in the Bank Damian Priest to cash in his briefcase. CM Punk then cost McIntyre his match at Clash at the Castle and then when he cashed in his briefcase at Money in the Bank.
In the latter match, Seth Rollins also lost the match due to Punk’s interference and got into a heated argument with him. On the other hand, McIntyre started wreaking havoc on RAW demanding a singles match against the Second City Saint. The match was then made official and Seth Rollins was announced to be the special guest referee of the match. This will be CM Punk’s first match at SummerSlam in eleven years.
