Cody Rhodes is an American professional wrestler currently signed to WWE where he performs on Monday Night RAW. The son of the 'American Dream' Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes is among the most popular stars of the promotion. He is also the half-brother of WWE legend Goldust aka Dustin Rhodes. Known as The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes made his WWE debut in the late 2000s and continued with the promotion up until 2016 before leaving the company to try his luck elsewhere. During his time on the independent circuit, Rhodes made his name among the biggest stars outside McMahon's promotion.
However, his most recognizable work is undoubtedly the role he played in the formation of All Elite Wrestling. Rhodes played a pivotal role in shaping the idea of AEW and then bringing it to life with the help of Tony Khan and the other members of the AEW roster. While he was flourishing well as the EVP of AEW, he still experimented with his career to return to where it all started - to WWE. Upon returning, Rhodes won the Royal Rumble match for two consecutive years becoming only the third wrestler after Stone Cold Steve Austin (1997, 1998) and Shawn Michaels (1995, 1996) to achieve the feat. He also brought an end to Roman Reigns' historic 1316-day title reign to become the world champion for the first time in his career.
