Cody Rhodes is no stranger to the WWE RAW brand. The American Nightmare could find himself on the red brand again, this time with the Undisputed WWE Championship around his waste.

SmackDown has been Cody Rhodes’ brand since he won the top title from Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL. He has had a great run with his first world title. He also defeated World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at Crown Jewel to prove himself in the industry.

With the Netflix premiere on the horizon, WWE could look to shake things up and take The American Nightmare to RAW. That could see him engage with some new names and fight old enemies to remain champion.

Check out five top stars who could face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Champion if he moves to RAW.

Top name doesn't want to enter the WWE Hall of Fame. More details HERE.

#5. Bron Breakker has been unstoppable

Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker has been defeating top stars on RAW to prove why he is one of the best upcoming talents in the company. He recently defended his title against Ludwig Kaiser and Sheamus at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames.

Breakker could hold the title until the Netflix premiere, after which he could move on to a world title feud. That could bring him face-to-face with Cody Rhodes if The American Nightmare moves to the brand.

Triple H seems to be high on Bron Breakker, and the young star could give Rhodes a run for his money in the ring. The two could have a great rivalry that could elevate Breakker even more.

#4. Uncle Howdy could hunt Cody Rhodes on RAW

The Wyatt Sicks has been haunting WWE RAW Superstars ever since their debut. After giving Chad Gable some nightmares, they are currently engaged in a rivalry with The Final Testament and The Miz.

The show and theatrics will wear off sooner rather than later unless WWE gives them some meaningful rivalries and puts a title or two around its members’ waists.

With that said, Uncle Howdy could look to give Cody Rhodes some nightmares if the latter moves to the brand. It would be great to see how The American Nightmare handles the stars who are doing well to get ahead on the RAW brand.

A title win for Howdy would elevate him and his faction and cement the group as a top threat in the company.

#3. Drew McIntyre could take down Cody Rhodes

The Scottish Warrior has only one thing in mind - the world title. CM Punk cost him several world championship opportunities throughout 2024. He had his moment at WrestleMania XL, where Punk again cost him the title as Damian Priest cashed in.

Drew McIntyre recently returned on RAW to take out Sami Zayn after his match against Seth Rollins. He could remain a top heel on RAW as the brand heads to Netflix in 2025.

After wiping out Sami Zayn and potentially other OG Bloodline members, Mcintyre could turn his attention to Cody Rhodes. That could see him challenge The American Nightmare for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

The Scottish Warrior could be an excellent choice to dethrone Rhodes in the coming months. He has defeated several top names and deserves a lengthy title run after the work he’s put in.

#2. John Cena will be returning to WWE in 2025

Ad

The WWE Universe can’t wait for 2025 when John Cena will return to the ring for his retirement tour. Cena's return will greatly benefit the Netflix premiere of RAW, as many more fans may tune in to watch The Greatest of All Time.

John Cena and Cody Rhodes last faced off in April 2015 in a United States Championship match that the former won. They could agree to a rematch after 10 years, with Rhodes holding the title this time.

Cena will be finishing for another world title to set another record in WWE. The two babyfaces could go head to head for the championship and give fans some of the greatest moments of 2025 to remember.

#1. Finn Balor is a top heel on WWE RAW

Finn Balor has been doing exceptionally well on the RAW brand as Judgment Day’s unofficial leader and a top heel. He seems to be having some problems with his stablemates, but it looks like he will continue to steam ahead as a villain on the brand.

Ad

Many believe it’s very unfortunate that The Prince hasn’t won a world title after becoming the inaugural Universal Champion. He could get in contention for a title once again soon, especially if Cody Rhodes falls in his crosshair.

Balor and Rhodes have a story waiting to be written and presented on screen. He could defeat The American Nightmare for the title without denting his value. Balor deserves a meaningful world title run, and that could come at Cody Rhodes’ expense.
