Cody Rhodes has several opponents lined up as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, but now he is faced with multiple ones at the same time. Although a couple of stars are willing to help him, he still lacks one person by his side.

Cody Rhodes finished a chapter of his story at WrestleMania 40 by defeating Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship. However, his story with The Bloodline is not finished after Solo Sikoa took charge and employed several new members. Fortunately for the champion, he can rely on Randy Orton and Kevin Owens for help, but that might not be enough against the four-member Bloodline. Interestingly, one person The American Nightmare can call for backup is Joe Hendry.

TNA star Joe Hendry is one of the most over wrestlers on social media with his catchy wrestling theme and entertaining promo skills. During the recent partnership between Total Nonstop Action and WWE, Joe was among the stars who appeared on the NXT brand and had a short appearance. However, his ties with Cody have been a bit longer.

Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.

Joe recently stated that Cody helped him land a job in Ring of Honor years ago and that they initially worked together in What Culture Pro Wrestling, during which Hendry forged a "mentorship" relationship with The American Nightmare. Due to their history, the SmackDown star could invite Hendry at ringside when a multi-man tag team match occurs against The Bloodline.

Joe was immediately eliminated after a surprise appearance during a previous Battle Royal on NXT but his appearance was successful. During a backstage confrontation with Shawn Michaels, the star hinted that he could return for more. Due to the success of his appearance, a main roster stint with Cody Rhodes could be possible.

What is next for Cody Rhodes and The Bloodline on WWE SmackDown?

Although Roman Reigns has been missing from WWE television since this year's Grandest Stage of Them All event, Solo Sikoa has kept The Bloodline busy and has even targetted Cody Rhodes.

After several weeks of back and forth between the group and Cody's trio, a six-man tag team match has been set for Money in the Bank next month. This will see Rhodes team with Owens and Orton against three members of the new Bloodline. The group has another advantage in the recently debuted Jacob Fatu, who attacked Rhodes' team last week on SmackDown.

It would be interesting to see what will happen next in Cody Rhodes' story with The Bloodline.
