Since this potential rivalry has been teased, many WWE fans have been wondering when the two superstars will clash. Based on Rhodes' recent comments, a feud between him and The Great One could potentially begin at Royal Rumble 2025.

During an appearance on The Pivot Podcast, The American Nightmare said that he thinks The Final Boss will return next year. While Rhodes did not speak about a specific time frame, it would be fair to assume that The Rock would return before Royal Rumble leading to a storyline heading towards WrestleMania 41.

During an episode of the Notsam Wrestling Podcast, Sam Roberts discussed the possibility of a match between Cody Rhodes and John Cena next year. For those unaware, Cena announced that he will be having a retirement tour in 2025. Keeping the same in mind, Roberts picked opponents for Cena and said:
