Cody Rhodes to be forced to abstain from participation in Survivor Series following recent incident? Analyzing the likelihood

Cody Rhodes will compete in his first-ever WarGames match at Survivor Series.

On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes made a surprising appearance on the blue brand despite being associated with Monday Night RAW. Initially spotted backstage with Nick Aldis, Rhodes rescued LA Knight from the clutches of the Bloodline during a post-match assault by Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.

However, following Rhodes' physical involvement on the show, the SmackDown General Manager confronted Cody and explicitly told him to leave the show. The segment between the two former rivals suggests that the actions seem unauthorized, as Nick appears unhappy.

This hints at the potential scenario of Nick Aldis reprimanding Cody Rhodes for his unsanctioned intervention on Friday Nights, resulting in him being barred from participating in his upcoming WarGames match against Judgment Day.

However, despite Rhodes' actions on the Blue brand, it seems highly improbable that Nick Aldis would prevent the RAW star from competing in the WarGames match. This could be attributed to Cody's significant role in the ongoing storyline against the villainous faction and his prominence as a poster boy for this year's Survivor Series Premium Live event.

Also, the consistent participation of Rhodes at PLEs throughout 2023 is another reason why this scenario is unlikely to unfold.

Cody Rhodes is currently promoted as the face of the road to WrestleMania 40

WWE WrestleMania 40 is scheduled to take place on April 6 and 7, 2024, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Notably, Cody Rhodes has been prominently featured in the promotional materials for the event, signaling a significant role on the road to WrestleMania 40.

Not only this, even Rhodes himself, in a recent interview, discussed the possibility of The Rock potentially stepping in for him in the speculated rematch against Roman Reigns. He was confident that even the People's Champion wouldn't take his spot in the storyline.

As the buildup to WrestleMania 40 progresses, it will be intriguing to observe how Cody Rhodes is booked in the coming months, particularly at next year's Shows of the Shows.
