Cody Rhodes to join WWE RAW in 2025 and get replaced by 37-year-old star on SmackDown? Exploring the possibility

Cody Rhodes has shifted his attention to the tag team match at Bad Blood on October 5. He and Roman Reigns will team up against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.

The American Nightmare continues his storyline with The Bloodline. At the same time, the rumored return of The Original Tribal Chief as a babyface has made things more complicated regarding the possibility of Part III between the two megastars.

However, the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion might not stay with the blue brand for too long. The reason is the blockbuster move of Monday Night RAW to Netflix, which could affect the status of several superstars in the roster.

More specifically, we could see Cody Rhodes go to the red brand since the show will move to a bigger platform, and he is considered a bigger champion than the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.

At the same time, the feud with The Rock, supposedly set to take place in the coming months, would take place on RAW, attracting a larger audience through Netflix.

Meanwhile, RAW's departure from USA Network will make SmackDown the network's top show. Thus, it would make sense for WWE to move Gunther to the blue brand as the World Heavyweight Champion. The deal between WWE and Netflix will lead the Stamford-based company to a new era, and plans for the show's format on the streaming platform have already been made.

Speaking to Denise Salcedo, The American Nightmare has already shared his excitement about the move to Netflix and what it can bring to WWE.

"I’m very excited. I’ve been on the netflix game since the beginning. Half the shows that I’m obsessed with now have come from Netflix. I have friends that work at Netflix.
