Cody Rhodes will be laser-focused on his upcoming match at the Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event. The American Nightmare is scheduled to take on AJ Styles in an "I Quit" match, which is sure to be a "banger," to quote Sheamus. However, what is next for him after he is done in Glasgow, Scotland? Could he be set to face a former NXT North American Champion at SummerSlam 2024?
The Phenomenal One is undoubtedly a dangerous opponent for Cody Rhodes. However, heading into Clash at the Castle 2024, fans expect the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion to come out on top. So, the question arises who his next opponent will be? Well, the prevailing theory, is that he could take on former NXT North American Champion, Solo Sikoa.
According to recent reports from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE could be preparing for Cody Rhodes to take on Solo Sikoa. The Enforcer, who now leads The Bloodline, has been a thorn in Rhodes' side on several occasions. With him desperate to bring the Undisputed WWE Championship back to The Bloodline, there is a chance that he could attempt to do it at SummerSlam 2024.

A clash between Rhodes and Sikoa would certainly be one to watch. However, at this point, it remains nothing more than speculation. The WWE Universe will have to wait and see what unfolds further down the line.
Cody Rhodes appeared on NXT to help WWE with the ratings
During the latest episode of NXT, the superstars of the developmental brand, and fans in attendance were more than happy as Cody Rhodes made his presence felt. The American Nightmare's appearance was certainly unexpected but welcomed. Although, many people may be wondering why he was even there.
Well, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Rhodes was brought on simply to help with the ratings. NXT often competes with AEW Dynamite, and this week, there was also the added competition of the 2024 NBA Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and the Boston Celtics. With that in mind, WWE had Rhodes make an appearance with the hope that it would give them a bit of a boost. Fortunately, it worked out for the best, as NXT raked in an average rating of 718,000, topping AEW's average of 681,000 on Wednesday.
It is safe to say that the current Undisputed WWE Champion did his job on NXT. Now, he will turn his attention to Clash at the Castle 2024, where he will be hoping to put on an incredible performance against AJ Styles and leave Glasgow, Scotland, with the title still around his waist.
