There have been some rumors that Cody Rhodes could miss this year's Survivor Series: WarGames. WWE is approaching one of its biggest premium live events of the year and now faces the danger of its top babyface not being featured on the show.
This has caused some fans to wonder what was going on, especially considering the fact Cody is a fan favorite and a top merch-seller. If these reports are true, then Cody wouldn't be defending his Undisputed WWE Championship as well, seeing as how there hasn't been any build for that yet and there's less than a month left before the premium live event.
According to a report from 4YouWrestling, the Undisputed WWE Champion will not participate in the Survivor Series: WarGames PLE, let alone the WarGames match.
“Cody will not be in WarGames. In fact, it seems Cody will not be working Survivor Series at all.”
Last week on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa challenged Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline to a WarGames match at Survivor Series. Both factions have four members each at present and are looking for their fifth member.
As per online rumors, similar to Bad Blood, Cody Rhodes was supposed to team up with Roman Reigns and Bloodline. Unfortunately, if this rumor becomes reality, The American Nightmare will not be a member of the OG Bloodline on November 30.
On this week's RAW, members from both Bloodline factions approached Seth Rollins in the hope of making him their fifth member. Dashing their hopes, he declined both their offers.
Towards the end of the show, Jimmy Uso approached Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker. Both Bloodlines have made so many enemies, it will be interesting to see who will join them ultimately.
WWE Hall of Famer reveals why Solo Sikoa should beat Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship
As the search for Cody Rhodes' successor goes on, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi revealed why he felt Solo Sikoa should be the one to do it. Speaking on the Off The Top podcast, the former Intercontinental Champion revealed why his son should beat The American Nightmare for the gold.
According to Rikishi, since Solo Sikoa pinned the GOAT (Roman Reigns) at Crown Jewel 2024, beating the greatest made his son the greatest.
“After beating Roman, I can kind of see Solo Sikoa being the one take it [the WWE Championship] off of Cody [Rhodes]. Because I talked about Roman [Reigns] coming back and maybe taking it off of Cody, you know? But after seeing that, you beat the GOAT. You beat the GOAT after two or three spikes. But now its like 'Okay, you beat the GOAT, now you’re considered the GOAT. The GOAT Slayer.'”
Solo Sikoa had his shot at Cody Rhodes this year at WWE SummerSlam. Unfortunately, the self-proclaimed Tribal Chief could not become the Undisputed WWE Champion thanks to the returning OTC, Roman Reigns.
With WarGames next on Solo's agenda and a potential Rock return on the horizon, Solo Sikoa challenging Cody Rhodes looks a bit unlikely in the near future.
