Cody Rhodes is an American Professional Wrestler. Known as The American Nightmare, he is the son of Dusty Rhodes and the half-brother of Dustin Rhodes, aka Goldust. He hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, and is married to Brandi Rhodes. He attended Lassiter High School and then completed his graduation from Penn State University, and competed in amateur wrestling in both places. However, he soon decided to move to professional wrestling like his father and brother. He was then signed by WWE in 2006.
Rhodes made his main roster debut in 2007, won the tag titles five times and the Intercontinental title twice before his release in 2016. He would then go on to become a huge name in Indies and played a crucial role in building All Elite Wrestling, where he also served as an Executive Vice President. Rhodes made his return to WWE in 2022 and has since then won the WWE Championship, the Tag Team Championship, and the Royal Rumble twice and has also headlined three different WrestleMania nights.

SummerSlam 2024 - Against Solo Sikoa
Cody Rhodes won the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania XL against Roman Reigns, following which the latter went on a hiatus and Solo Sikoa assumed the leadership of The Bloodline. Soon, he and his team started targeting Cody Rhodes week after week, eventually earning himself a shot at the WWE Championship, which will go down at SummerSlam 2024. This will be the first time Cody Rhodes will main event SummerSlam.
Summerslam 2023 - Against Brock Lesnar
On the RAW after WrestleMania 39, Brock Lesnar was supposed to team up with Cody Rhodes, but instead, he betrayed and brutally attacked Rhodes. This led to a match at Backlash where Rhodes won after a Kimura lock was turned into a roll-up pin. Following this unsatisfactory win, the two stars again collided at SummerSlam. Rhodes defeated Lesnar this time, fair and square, becoming one of the very few guys to do so. He also followed in the steps of stars like Roman Reigns, Kurt Angle, Seth Rollins, and Goldberg who have pinned Lesnar twice.
SummerSlam 2015 - Against Neville and Stephen Amell
In 2015, as Stardust, Rhodes got into a scuffle with the Green Arrow fame Stephen Amell. This prompted Neville to side with Amell while Wade Barett joined the side of Stardust. At the event, the team of Neville and Amell registered the victory after pinning Barrett.
SummerSlam 2013 - Against Damian Sandow
Cody Rhodes competed in the Money in the Bank match in 2013, which was won by Damian Sandow. The two stars started feuding then, leading to a match at SummerSlam where Rhodes defeated Sandow.
SummerSlam 2009 - Against DX
