WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes’ fight with Kevin Owens is far from over. Carrying the title around with him and claiming himself as the real Undisputed Champion, KO is ready to use any means necessary to win. Although Rhodes has the upper hand over The Prizefighter so far, The Rock can return as his worst nightmare to end his title reign.

The American Nightmare and The Final Boss got involved in a very personal feud ahead of WrestleMania XL. The Brahma Bull and Cody Rhodes had slapped each other during different segments and The Rock also got the Undisputed Champion’s blood on his belt with the name ‘Mama Rhodes’.

Despite teaming up with Seth Rollins, The American Nightmare had failed to defeat the team of Roman Reigns and The Rock on Night One of WrestleMania XL. After Rhodes became the champ, The Great One said he would be back to take care of unfinished business with him.

The Brahma Bull also mentioned that he would hunt Cody Rhodes down even if he was no longer the champion. Making The Final Boss help Kevin Owens to dethrone The American Nightmare would raise the stakes for the continuation of the Rock-Rhodes feud.

Without the burden of a championship transfer, WWE could make the match less predictable and keep the fans guessing until the end. While this is a significant direction the company can take, all of this is speculation so far.

Kevin Owens could usher in a new storyline if he dethrones Cody Rhodes

Kevin Owens has earned the fury of almost everyone in WWE management via his actions following his Saturday Night’s Main Event loss. He didn’t steal any ordinary belt, but the Winged Eagle title, right after dismantling Cody Rhodes with an illegal move, the Package Piledriver.

WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H didn’t bother to mask his emotions towards The Prizefighter and shoved Owens after the end of SNME when the latter was posing with the belt. Moreover, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis also issued an ultimatum for KO to give up the Winged Eagle title.

Following all this backlash from management, Kevin Owens has still not given up his headstrong attitude. If the former Universal Champion ultimately manages to dethrone Cody Rhodes, he could usher in a storyline where the company's management hates the champion.

Triple H always likes to congratulate the new champions whenever the titles change hands or when the reigning champs pull off a big title defense. But, with The Prizefighter holding the Undisputed Championship, he won’t be continuing his tradition. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Rhodes and Owens.
