The latest episode of WWE RAW was a thrill ride, perhaps except for one segment that failed to get over with fans. The Judgment Day issues remained a must-see while Jey Uso finally won his first singles title by defeating Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship.
However, a segment promoting the Pure Fusion Collective aired and stood out like a sore thumb, judging by social media reaction. Sonya Deville explained the faction's creation while mocking the rest of the women's roster.
Sonya Deville is a good talker, but hearing Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark try to emphasize the magnitude of the group just did not click. They have not made their mark enough to throw out claims such as being 'the future of the women's division.'
The trio has been embroiled in a feud with Damage CTRL, Zelina Vega, and Lyra Valkyria since debuting. It feels like there is a lack of direction, and unless Triple H goes back to the drawing board, the faction could get lost in the shuffle.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Fans on social media certainly were not impressed by the promo, with one fan on X/Twitter calling it "mid."
"Mid," one fan shared.
Another fan was not too happy with the faction's vignette on Monday Night RAW.
"I think when they played this vignette, everyone collectively ran to the bathroom, just on principle," the fan shared.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Pure Fusion Collective amid a slow start on RAW. If it continues to struggle to win over fans, it could be looking at an early split.
WWE RAW is stacked with stables and an exciting women's roster. It is difficult to see how PFC is on the same level as Damage CTRL, which is doing quite well on the red brand.
Figuring out the Pure Fusion Collective puzzle on WWE RAW
All three members of the Pure Fusion Collective are extremely talented and deserve their spot in the spotlight. Putting them together was perhaps Triple H's way of trying to get each individual's respective abilities to merge into success.
Sonya Deville's best period in her WWE career was arguably feuding with WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. A potential story back in the office for the 30-year-old star might be more suitable.
Zoey Stark looked like a breakout star when she aligned with WWE legend Trish Stratus upon her main roster debut. She feuded with Becky Lynch, which helped her get over, but she then fell down the card.
An option for Stark could be to team up with a women's main event talent like current Women's World Champion Liv Morgan. She could align with the champion as part of The Judgment Day storyline to get more screen time.
Shayna Baszler is the biggest puzzle of them all, given her extraordinary time in WWE NXT. She was a menace as the NXT Women's Champion, and many people thought she would go on to become a megastar.
The Queen of Spades could return to the developmental brand and rebuild herself into the hard-hitting monster heel that made her so successful.
