Boxer Tyson Fury made his debut against the former RAW Tag Team Champion Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel this year. While no one really expected a 5-star match out of the two, many fans were disappointed in the way WWE decided to finish the match.

It is being argued that if WWE did not want a clean finish, someone other than The Monster Among Men should have been chosen as his opponent. However, if WWE did choose another 'monster' from the roster such as Erick Rowan or even Luke Harper, the match would have been difficult to promote as Strowman certainly holds more star power than the others.

As for the finish itself, WWE could not have a debutant defeat Braun Strowman clean as it would end up doing immense harm to the credibility of The Monster Among Men. While the undefeated Tyson Fury losing his first WWE match would also have been underwhelming.

So, WWE made the right call in having Fury knockout Strowman outside the ring and winning by count-out.
