They have a tag title match the very next day.

Out of all the tag teams in the turmoil match, the New Day has had the most interesting month. It started with Kofi Kingston losing his WWE Championship in nine seconds to Brock Lesnar on SmackDown's premiere on FOX.

After that, he showed some subtle signs of anger when he crushed a pancake. Also, Xavier Woods got a nasty Achilles injury and will be out for a year. So, Kofi and Big E are seemingly stuck in limbo.

The pair lost to Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode in a couple of minutes, but are still set to challenge The Revival for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship this Friday, a day after Crown Jewel. The New Day could pick up the huge victory to gain some momentum for their title match, while Kofi does need to gain some more edge and aggression.

This could all be the beginning of a redemption story involving the former WWE Champion and Big E. It could even signal for a heel turn, their first since 2015. Whatever path the New Day takes from here, being known as the 'Best Tag Team in the World' could prove to be a big part of their story. They are the most established team in the match, anyway.
